Abstract
Kosovo as a state in
Europe poses a serious problem of air pollution, due to the production of
electricity from Kosovo A and Kosovo B power plants, which use coal as fuel. Kosovo possesses large coal reserves, but in the
production of power from the Power Plant the monetary income is very low and
too much coal spending is a huge loss as a very valuable natural resource for
future generations. Implementation of
nuclear reactors bring profits to this country and coal would have been sold as
a raw material in various sectors, perhaps the state could earn about half a
billion euros each year, as well as the lack of a nuclear reactor. Kosovo is
losing more than € 2 billion of coal-fired coal for 18 years. During 2017, Kosovo has produced 5' 300'000
MWh of electricity. Kosovo has also produced 8 million tons of coal to produce
electricity, while in the use of the Kosovo nuclear reactor it needs about
264.99 kg of per year. The purpose of this paper is that Kosovo has the
highest price of electricity in the regions and this is showing a big obstacle
to foreign investment.
