Öz
Doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar az gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin kalkınmak için ihtiyaç duyduğu sermaye stokuna katkı sağlayan önemli bir araçtır. Yatırımcı ülke açısından yeni pazarlara erişim ve kaynaklara stratejik yakınlık açısından doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışma Web of Science veri tabanında yayınlanan ve doğrudan yabancı yatırım ile bölgesel kalkınma arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alan çalışmalar üzerine yoğunlaşmaktadır. VOSviewer programı yardımıyla Web of Science üzerinden çekilen veriler analiz edilerek sonuçlar raporlanmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan veriler 1977-2021 yılları arasında yapılan 11408 çalışmayı kapsamaktadır. Yıllara göre en fazla çalışma yapılan yıl 844 çalışma ile 2019 olarak tespit edilmiştir. En fazla çalışma yapılan ilk üç ülke ise sırasıyla; Amerika, Çin ve İngiltere’dir. Konu ile alakalı 161 farklı ülkede yapılmış yayına rastlanılmıştır. Yapılan yayınlarda tespit edilen toplam yazar sayısı 16851 iken yayınların yayınladığı toplam 5490 kurum görülmektedir. En fazla yayının yapıldığı kurum “Dünya Bankası (World Bank WB; DB) iken en fazla atıf olan kurum Ulusal Ekonomik Araştırmalar Bürosu’dur (National Bureau of Economic Research NBER; UEAB). Çalışmalar bölge bazlı değerlendirildiğinde ise en fazla çalışma gerçekleştiren ülkeler Amerika, Avrupa ve Çin olarak gözükmektedir. Yayınlara bakıldığında toplam 14054 anahtar kelime kullanılmıştır. En sık kullanılan üç anahtar kelime ise sırayla; “Foreign Direct Investment”, “FDI” “Economic Growth” dur.

Foreign direct investment is an important tool that contributes to the capital stock that underdeveloped and developing countries need for development. For the investor country, FDIs are frequently used in terms of access to new markets and strategic proximity to resources. This study focuses on the studies published in the Web of Science database and dealing with the relationship between FDI and regional development. With the help of the VOSviewer program, the data taken from the Web of Science were analyzed and the results were reported. The data used in the study includes 11408 studies conducted between the years 1977-2021. According to analysis related to the years, it is seen that with 844 studies 2019 is the year with the highest number of. The first three countries with the highest number of studies are respectively; America, China and England. It is seen that the publications were made in 161 different countries. The total number of authors identified in the publications is 16851, these publications were presented by 5490 institutions. While the institution with the highest number of publications is the World Bank (WB), the institution with the highest number of references is National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). When the studies are evaluated on a regional basis, America, Europe and China constitute the majority of the studies. In the publications, 14054 different keywords were used. The three most frequently used keywords are; “Foreign Direct Investment”, “FDI” is “economic growth”.
